Things I Did Not Buy in Vancouver

December 9, 2025

I mentioned in my latest photo diary that my friend and I had browsed some interested shops when we were in Vancouver for our quick weekend trip. As a way to not buy all the things, I took some pictures of items that called out to me.

First up, a stuffie called on the tag “Bread w/Leg”. It made me smile but stayed in the store because I have a stuffed baked good at home (the giant Pop Tart).

Stuffed toy in the form of baguette with two small legs at the bottom and a cranky expression on its face. Surrounded on both sides with smaller stuffies of other types (not bread).

Then there was the big stuffed capybara, which had it not been around $80, might have come home with me.

Stuffed capaybara toy in a lying down position. Sitting on a shelf next to another baguette like the one above.

Finally these two what might be capybaras holding a hamburger and a donut.

Stuffed capaybara toys in a sitting on their hind legs position. One holds a stuffed hamburger, the other a stuffed donut.

Those aren’t all the things I didn’t buy, of course. Plenty of tempting things at the farmers’ market, for instance, but taking pictures of those would be rude, I think.
