Sometimes Things Work Out
December 21, 2019
Earlier this month, I was lamenting that I’d lost a pair of sunglasses I’d bought on vacation and the Chums I’d attached to them that were a gift from Mr. Karen way back when. Since then, I finished unpacking the last suitcase from that trip and they failed to turn up there, so I pretty much had given up on finding them. Imagine my delight today, then, when I was switching jackets to go skiing and discovered them in the zippered chest pocket of the jacket I was switching to, which I hadn’t worn since that trip. I guess I have the rain to thank, since I was only swapping jackets because I wanted to wear something more waterproof than my ski coat (I neglected to refresh the durable water repellent coating on it in the off season).
No sign yet of the cable lock I was also lamenting the loss of. I can’t even remember when or where I last had that, so it’s hard to figure out where to look.
