Monday, May 4: The septic project has reached the “excavator in view of the bathtub” stage.
Tuesday, May 5: Another color of rhododendron is blooming in the yard. The bees seem to be enjoying the flowers.
Wednesday, May 6: Finished my light blocking cardboard construction for one of the bedrooms, all made from boxes of things we’ve had to buy since we moved in.
Thursday, May 7: Mr. Karen has been collecting the dog toys he’s been finding in the yard as he works out there. These are the non-stuffed animal ones.
Friday, May 8: Made a last minute trip back to my old stomping grounds as delays on the septic system means Mr. Karen and I aren’t going to be able to go together as we’d planned, and I needed to get some things for a conference I’m going to at the end of the month, so off I went solo. Unfortunately, I got caught in a long delay thanks to a combination of weekend traffic and a construction zone (one I’ve always sailed through on other trips).
Saturday, May 9: Back in the storage studio, looking for my summer clothes which I packed early in the condo selling process but will need for my trip later this month. The stacks of boxes are smaller than they were but still so many left to shift over to their new home.
Sunday, May 10: Highlight of the day was a short hike with friends in a nature area I didn’t know existing. We did an out and back to this old barn.
