Most weeks, I take at least a few more pictures than I need for my photo diary. And being me, I keep almost all of them, which means I have alternate views and bonus content from the weeks I’ve documented. Today I have a few to share from this past January.
Every year Deschutes brewery has an artist do a design for their holiday ale, which I have never drunk any of but I do like seeing the art. Last year’s (still in my grocery store at the beginning of January) featured an elk in the mountains done in a style that would fit right into the Happy Color app. I haven’t seen this year’s design yet, though I’m sure it’s out. Maybe it will get a spot in one of my December photo diary entries.
A drawing by one of Mr. Karen’s sisters we came across while going through some stuff from their mom’s storage unit.
Back when eggs were hard to find, I panicked and bought a big can of powdered egg (which is one of the things stocked in what I think of as the “food bunker” section of one of the big box stores in town). I have yet open it. I should check the expiration date and maybe start using it.
