Happy Color Update: Early December 2025

Yes, I’m still tap tap tapping away with my stylus on the Happy Color app, so it’s time again for an update of what I’ve finished and what I’ve got going since my last entry on the subject.
This installment’s featured picture is a collage of four of the patterns I recently finished. They’d been serving as separators for a long while; seemed like it was time to move them along and make room for new images in that role.
Groups I’ve finished since the previous update (most recent listed first; all counts include any friends I matched with the main images for the group, and date is when the holiday was, not necessarily when I finished coloring those images):

– Several pairs/quartets of patterns that had been separators: geometric mandalas, interlocking diagonal shapes, somewhat rounded geometric tiles, wavy lines, geometric spirals, wavy grids, overlapping circular curves (20)

– Guy Fawkes Night (2) [November 5; one I paired with the one in the holiday tab turned out to be from a collection which I’m not happy about as I like to do collections all together but am going to have to let that go]
– Melbourne Cup (2) [November 3]
– Welcome to November (2) [daily for November 1 and November bonus gnome]
– Pictures of the week for October (6) [lower than usual as some were in Halloween group; one of these is a picture I’d already used to pair with a daily and had to re-do and re-pair that daily, so that was frustrating]
– Halloween & Day of the Dead (118) [I waited long enough to finish these so that I was able to include the picture of the month for October, so that felt good]
Currently In Progress:
1.) Two separators kicking off the queue because I finished the group above them very recently. (2 images) [Separators: multicolored dots of various sizes filling the frame paired with small flowers and leaves with dots in between them, also filling the frame. I paired these because the latter seemed more dotty when I first saw it; I also failed to note that it has a less varied color palette than the all dots, but for now they’re staying together.]
2.) Art I meant to finish for Thanksgiving (one is titled “Home to Thanksgiving”) but could see they were going to be too time consuming, so they’ll just roll in late. (2 images plus 4 separators) [Separators: looping lines]
3.) Holiday/seasonal: Rubber Duck Day, Venice Carnival, Women in Science Day, Valentine’s Day, Lantern Festival, Happy Birthday, St. Patrick’s Day, Spring, World Down Syndrome Day, World Water Day, Easter, Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, Fourth of July. (54 + 6) [Separators: wavy lines]
4.) Day of Veterinarian Medicine (2 + 2) [Separators: diverging diamond patterns]
5.) Winter (50 + 2) [Separators: diamond quilt-like patterns]
6.) Hanukkah (2 + 2) [Separators: mosaic diamonds]
7.) Kwanzaa (2 + 2) [Separators: quilt-like patterns]
8.) Christmas and New Year’s (34 + 10) [Separators: 6 floor tile patterns, 4 distorted grids]
9.) Pictures of the week for first three weeks of November (6 + 6) [Separators: braids and other wavy lines that remind me of textiles]
10.) Images that I found duplicates of while looking for other things (22) [I’m thinking of ditching this group and just doing the images individually if I happen to pair them up with something I’m doing otherwise, as I’d rather have variety than do pairs of identical pictures even though the colors are in different orders on the selector, and also I’ve seen more pairs than this when searching and it’s annoying to have to start then then work them down into this group]
11.) All the rest of the separators (27) [staircases, so many lines, finely detailed mandalas]
