A Week in Photos: 2026, Part 26

Monday, June 22: The sunsets at the new house continue to delight. (How long before I stop thinking of it as the “new house” and it becomes just “the house”? Don’t know.)
Tuesday, June 23: I mostly feel fine about missing out on limited edition Oreo flavors, but this one had lilac cookies. I am a sucker for purple stuff still, so I got some to try. The filling was brown sugar pancake, and the non-Oreo side had sayings related to BTS (the Korean boy band) which I am most definitely not the target audience for. I did like the cookies and the color.
Wednesday, June 24: The pasture at twilight. Yes, the septic mounds are still not covering in greenery. You can’t just plant anything there.
Thursday, June 25: Packing for a trip.
Friday, June 26: On the road with Mr. Karen. I happened to be the passenger when going over the Columbia River and caught this landscape shot with the blue blue sky.
Saturday, June 27: First stop on the trip was a couple nights in Spokane. Unfortunately, it happened to be the weekend of the huge three on three basketball tournament in the city, so we had to stay across the border in Idaho at a budget motel charging four-star prices. I did appreciate the effort made with the roses in front of the hotel.
Sunday, June 28: Back on the road. Took a different route through part of Montana than we have before and stopped at scenic overlook outside of Helena.
