A Week in Photos: 2025, Part 17

April 28, 2025

Monday, April 21: Still in the part of spring when it snows (or in this case graupels) sometimes.

Warm light brown deck boards with a scattering of graupel snow pellets on them.

Tuesday, April 22: Stopped to admire the view from the mountain road on my way back from town.

Snow capped mountains across a wide valley which has a lake in it.

Wednesday, April 23: As the snow melts, objects are revealed in the places where it was piled up. Usually it’s things like beer and energy drink cans, sometimes a mitten or glove, but this day it was something I’d not seen before: carrots.

Roadside with tall snowbank on the left side and several carrots scattered around on the dirt where the snow has melted away on the right side.

Thursday, April 24: The dumpsters where we take our trash are next to the firehouse. I’d driven by these wrecked cars used for training plenty of times before I noticed the fake skeletons inside them. Bit macbre.

Two wrecked sedans with their doors removed, one piled roof down on top of the other. Parts of two plastic skeletons are shoved in the passenger compartment of the top car.'

Friday, April 25: State of the snow bridge behind the house where the snow has slid off the roof of the addition.

Back of a building with off white siding. At the end, there's a snow bridge from a low roof curving onto the ground.

Saturday, April 26: Finished the last of the vitamins and supplements I brought home when my brother and I cleaned out my mom’s house. Yes, these were long expired (March of 2019); I didn’t think they were dangerous as a result. This bottle has just been hanging out in my cupboard for years. I finally decided it was time to let it go.

Brown plastic bottle of Oyster Shell Calcium with a mostly yellow label.

Sunday, April 27: Made my blue a bit more purple-leaning this time. Was still in my bathrobe at noon because I wasn’t feeling well. Not that I’ve never been in my bathrobe at noon on days I’m feeling fine.

Selfie of me, a white lady in her 60's, with blue hair and a dark fleece bathrobe.
