Fortunate

December 13, 2018

I may not have granite countertops or a two thousand dollar Christmas tree, but I have this view from my driveway:

View from the driveway

I was clearing the 18 inches of snow that’s fallen in the past two days off our truck, and shoveling the piles of snow around it because the guys who plow the driveway can only get so close, when I looked up and saw pink clouds scudding across the top of the mountain. I scuttled inside to grab my phone (which fortunately was just inside the door on the stairs, in the pocket of my coat I’d shed because it was too warm to wear while brushing and shoveling) and snapped this scene.
