Goal Wednesday, 9.22

September 22, 2010

How the heck is it Wednesday again already? This past week was not stellar one as far as goal achievement. I did keep track of my food intake for the most part, but that intake included quite a few things that in no way fit into the 4 x 400 plan. Exercise, surprisingly, continues to be a bright spot; I went to the gym, I walked, I did a Firm video, and I even ran a little. I miss running, and that surprises me, too. I don’t miss my heel and knee and hip hurting, but maybe I can figure out a way to run without that happening. Losing a lot more weight would almost certainly help, but I’m not having much success with that, now, am I? Not doing so well with organizing and decluttering and being a valuable part of the Distributed Proofreaders community, either. Ah well, it’s a new week, so let’s try this again.

Goals for this week:
1. Keep a food diary.
2. Weight work twice; aerobics twice.
3. Weed through some container, any container—box, bag, cupboard, drawer.
4. Do a page a day at DP and a photo or memorial a day at Find A Grave.
5. Do ten post processing steps on an American Missionary issue.

Good job on still getting in those workouts! I, too, want to run but without pain — and that will come when I’m a little lighter. 😉

What is Distributed Proofreaders, if you don’t mind me asking?

Of course I don’t mind? Distributed Proofreaders aka DP is a web-based volunteer project that converts public domain books and periodicals into e-books. I’ve been working on it for years now, first just doing a few pages at a time, then working my way into other areas. These days, I’ve got some projects I’ve adopted and need to shepherd through the process.
