Not Dead Yet

This has been my least active year of online journaling since I started in the spring of 2002. I had zero months in October and November, which hasn’t happened ever, much less two months in a row. Yet I still signed up for Holidailies, because it’s what I do around here. Will I post every day? It seems unlikely, yet I did just that last year, when I’d reached December having written only a few posts in the preceding two months. But last year, I worked most of December, and this year, I am retired, which one might think would make it easier to find time to write, yet it has not proven so in my case. My nail blog has suffered right along with this journal, as retirement has also been hard on me finding time to swatch nail polish, much less edit the resulting photos and write words about them. No wonder so many kids today just do Instagram; ain’t nobody got time to blog. And online journaling? What’s that? Well, I’m going to try and remember what that is and how I do it, starting today. I’ve got an updated About Me page, and ideas for other entries to write this month, and this entry that’s almost done, so maybe this little OLJ of mine is not as dead as it’s appeared to be recently. Maybe I’ll find my mojo again and continue posting into January. Maybe I shouldn’t get ahead of myself.

I’ve been an extremely lax blogger as well, but I’m writing every day – it’s just not online.
