Monday, July 21: I’m betting I’ve used this fiber art piece in the lobby of one of the hotels in the village as my photo of the day before, but here it is again as it’s the only one I took on a quiet day punctuated by a walk to get the mail. The whole piece is much bigger; this is just one segment down in the corner.

 
Tuesday, July 22: It rained overnight and there were still some drops hanging out in the afternoon when Mr. K and I headed out for a walk.

 
Wednesday, July 23: Ran some errands before going to a discussion group meeting down in the city, including buying a new stick vacuum for my friend’s studio as she liked the one I’d been bringing in to clean up before events. I took a picture so I’d be sure to get the same one, and I did, apparently the last one as there was no spot for it on the shelf, just a box shoved into the space for the replacement model.

 
Thursday, July 24: Fireweed plants usually have just one stalk with a tight group of blossoms, but this specimen was overachieving.

 
Friday, July 25: Still poking away at summer pictures in the Happy Color app. I both delight in finding connections between different pictures and struggle with which connections I want to use to go from one group/subject to another. Should the ladies on the beach sipping drinks be used to transition between summer drinks and to the woman sipping from her bottle in front of a surfboard (which then goes to a woman just standing in front of a surfboard)? Or should they go between the summer drinks and other lounging on the sand images? These are the types of things I can get stuck on even in my leisure time.

 
Saturday, July 26: Stairwell in a historic apartment building I visited in the city. It was built in the early 1910’s.

 
Sunday, July 27: Had plans with a friend to come up and pick huckleberries; she texted asking about the weather because it looked like rain where she lives, so I sent her this photo of friendly skies on the mountain. She did come up and we found berries and all was well.
