A Week in Photos: 2025, Part 22
June 13, 2025
Monday, May 26: Enjoying one more sunset from my hotel room before I check out and move to a cheaper than the conference one for a night before heading home.
Tuesday, May 27: I am a sucker for quirky buildings, so when I passed this one I had to turn around and pull into the parking lot to snap a picture.
Wednesday, May 28: Travel day. Made my way to O’Hare then onto the first plane to Salt Lake City then the second plane to Spokane. Had an empty seat next to me on both flights, which was an unexpected treat.
Thursday, May 29: In my absence, a lot of the snow had melted and Mr. Karen had gone to collect his sailboat from storage.
Friday, May 30: While the snow on the slopes facing our house had gone, there was still some on the other side of the bowl, and that was doing something I’d not seen before … parts of it were tinted pink, which I learned was from a type of algae. (Thank you, [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watermelon_snow][Wikipedia].)
Saturday, May 31: A friend of mine down in the city found a studio space to rent in an older building with character. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was on a hot summer day even without airconditioning or a cross breeze (the window shown is the only one in the room).
Sunday, June 1: Saw a pretty sky on the walk home from getting the mail.
