Parking Lots and Anchor Stores

December 24, 2009

I went to the mall today. Actually, I went to two malls, which is two more than I’ve been to in the last I don’t know how long. I didn’t need to buy anything—my Christmases have been getting less and less gifty for years now, by choice—but I had the day off and thought it might be nice to do something different. I did end up getting some nail polish but mostly strolled around and looked at the decorations and then left before the crowds got too oppressive. When I was on my way out, cars were circling the lot and waiting for parking spaces, so I’d say I timed it just about right.
