A Week in Photos: 2026, Part 1

I decided to keep doing my photo diary project in 2026 because if nothing else, I like looking back at the entries sometimes.

Thursday, January 1: Start as you mean to go on: eating frozen yogurt with yummy toppings.

 
Friday, January 2: Looked at three more houses with varying views and varying issues.

 
Saturday, January 3: Revisited our favorite house, taking Kathy and Kent with us to get their opinion, too. Then we drove home, mulling over our choices.

 
Sunday, January 4: Saw the for sale sign on the balcony for the first time in the light. Took a deep breath and made an offer on the house at the top of our list, the one we saw twice, the one that had the best vibes, the one that doesn’t have a couple features I was pretty sure we’d want (garage, air conditioning) and does have some that I never thought we’d end up with (acreage, barn).
