Monday, June 16: The Happy Color app informed me it was time for the International Day of the African Child, so I colored two pictures in recognition of that, including this one from the Holidays tab.
Tuesday, June 17: Spring run off is still happening, at least in this little creek that crosses the trail Mr. K and I sometimes take on our walk back from the village.
Wednesday, June 18: When Mr. K and I had gone through the village the day before this, there was a stack of slices of tree trunk sitting on one of the planters. Like a cairn, but wood. Seemed odd but okay. This day, there were slices of tree laid out in a row along another planter, and the wooden cairn was still there. It’s a mystery. Maybe something the day camp kids are doing?
Thursday, June 19: Another day where the most picturesque thing I did was color. I was impressed that the Happy Color app marked Juneteenth.
Friday, June 20: Daisies by the side of the road spotted while out for a walk in the neighborhood.
Saturday, June 21: After quite a long run of behaving, the alarm panel at my studio in town was sounding a tone and displaying a cryptic message when I arrived. After a couple rounds of disarming and arming, I got the tone to stop, but the message remained.
Sunday, June 22: Helping my friend get her studio space setup. Today’s main activity was seeing if wet mopping a section of the floor would 1) help get the dust left behind by the sweeping and vaccuming already done and 2) not ruin the wood. Based on the color of the water after rinsing the mop, I’d say the answer to 1 was yes. We’ll see about the answer to 2 when it dries fully, which it hadn’t by the time I had to leave (did just a section to start with, so if it’s okay, we’ll do the rest next time).
