Green Striped Cap

March 21, 2012

Green Striped CapMy neglected Ravelry projects page tells me I started knitting this cap last August. I just finished it this morning, sewing in the last of the ends I’d left dangling when I set it aside to work on other things. If I didn’t have to get this done for a raffle this coming weekend, it might still be languishing in my knitting bag. As I’ve done with hats past, I used this head hugger hat pattern as a starting point. The yarn is Knit Picks Swish worsted weight left over from other projects; I’m not even sure if these particular colors are made any more (Bok Choy, Dublin, and Jade). I’m happy with how this turned out, so it wasn’t being neglected because I didn’t like it; I just seem to have a short attention span for knitting lately. I’ve got two projects on the needles right now: the socks I started over Thanksgiving (which I haven’t touched in probably a couple months, despite taking them out to Idaho and back this last trip) and a scarf (which seemed like a much better idea when I was still cold out, but it will get cold again). I’ve also got two baby quilts in progress, and both those babies have been born, so I need to spend some time on those, too. Someday I’ll probably finish all these things.
