I have once again turned my thoughts to weight loss, which I think makes it about eleventy billion times I’ve decided I need to do something about my excess pounds. This go-round I’ve been taking pictures of all the things I’m eating, which is a tactic I’ve not tried before. Mr. Karen asked last night, as I was snapping my Moscato and BLT (after I’d taken a bite, which is why the illustration today is not that photo but one of Monday’s lunch, which I scavenged from the leftovers from someone else’s meeting at work), what I was going to do with all the pictures. I told him I didn’t know. I did do something with them today, though; I looked at them one by one and entered everything into myfitnesspal.com, which I signed up for because a group of my nail polish friends are there. I never really got into the group aspect over on SparkPeople, so that will be new this go-round, too. I’ve lost count of how many “before” photos I’ve taken, how many diets I’ve tried, how many pounds I’ve lost and gained and lost again. I just know it’s a lot. One of these times, I’m going to manage to change my habits for the long term. Maybe this is that time.
