Today I went for a run for the first time in way too long, and it felt surprisingly good. I didn’t go too far, and I didn’t go too fast, but I did go, and that’s a start. After that I got on our newest fitness toy, the Fitter, which is supposed to help with balance and the side to side motion key to skiing. I suspect it only helps if one uses it quite a bit more than I’ve managed to in the couple months we’ve had it. I won’t be as ready for our first ski trip of the season as I’d hoped, but there will be trips after that one. Even if there weren’t I need to get my butt (and the rest of me) into better shape.

Three years ago, I washed my feet in the toilet.

Five years ago, I was feeling better after being sick.
