What a Difference a Day Makes

When I stopped to mail some holiday cards this morning, I snapped a picture of the view:
The only reason wanted to take that photo was to contrast it with the shot I’d taken 24 hours before, when I stopped to mail the cards I got done before the cards I mailed this morning; if I’d known I’d get this morning’s cards done so soon I might have waited and mailed them all at once, but I didn’t know and besides, if I had waited, I wouldn’t have had the chance to take this picture:
Yesterday I had a very pretty drive to work; not only was there the gorgeous sunrise, but also a rainbow. Today, nothing but gloom. Welcome to winter in Michigan.
